equus in october

written in the early 1970s, peter shaffer’s play ‘equus’ suddenly shot to popularity with the younger generations (for all the wrong reasons). it was staged recently in the west end with harry potter taking (all) his clothes off.
nevermind dan radcliffe, ‘equus’ is a literary and theatrical masterpiece and was last performed in colombo in 1978, just five years after it had been written.
and now it’s here again. almost. come october, you can see for yourself why a young boy would blind six horses.
see tracy’s blog for more information.

awesome….I read this around 5 years ago, for my performance exam during the good old days of aunty irene’s classes…very intense…loved it…such a shame it’s in october.
